Hello,
I have just installed FTR Gold 5.4 as the 5.2 version did not work on Win7. Whenever I try to record, it pops up with the error
"Recording has halted on [computer]. The error is: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. (0x8007000e)."
The recordings are set to save to a folder on the C: drive which is nowhere near full, so I am not sure what is causing this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
The Record Player 5.5 installed on Windows XP w/ SP3 workstation.
Receive Event Viewer Application Warning ID:1
Description: There are no applications attached to TheRecord Communicator Server. The registry is blank.
Is this something that can be corrected? I do not know what exactly is causing this warning.
Thanks!
Below is the error I get when I try to open an audio file.
"Open
An unknown error has occurred. (E0D1A027)
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xE097D001): No content files could be created from the specified files.
at FTR.Interop.FoundationObjectInterfaces.ITREContentFileFactory.CreateContentFiles(Object[] RepositoryFiles, String typeFilter)
at c.j(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)"
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm experiancing a problem with an MP3 audio file and FTR player 5.6.2. I have tested it on three version of Windows (Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit and Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit) that do not work. But on the older desktops in the office running Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit and FTR player 5.4.2, the audio file plays just fine. So it is evident that the older computers have something different than the newer ones.
When the file starts playing, it plays too fast and sounds like chipmunks and their squeaky high pitched voices. The MP3 file plays just fine using another player (Windows Media Player and VLC Player) on the same computer. The Windows 8 computer ads an additional issue, the audio file plays fine with the user account that FTR was installed on, but not on the second user account.
All users on these computers have full administrator rights. I have tried replacing all the codec files on the problem computers. The Windows 8 computers (have tested 2 of them) work fine on the original user account FTR was installed on. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FTR on the Windows 8 and Windows 7 computers with the second logged in user account. I have tried it on computers with and without foot pedal control. I have tried it on computers with and without additional installed applications and codecs.
I am at a loss of where to go from here. Please help.
I just upgraded to 5.6.2 today because the older version was not working for my windows 8 computer. I can get the files to load but there is no volume. Has anyone else experienced this? How do I fix this problem?
We are in the process of upgrading from FTR 2.2 to FTR 5.6 and I'm trying to use a genovation MacroMaster 683 keypad to start and stop recording in FTR Reporter in a similar fashion to what was available in FTR 2.2. After checking the documentation, I can't find any keyboard shortcuts that to control those actions.
Any information would be greatly appreciated, and if any more information is needed, I'd be happy to provide it. Thank you for your help.
Has anyone had any success with getting the Antex LX44 to work with Windows 7? We recently upgraded to FTR Reporter 5.6 so that we can go to Windows 7, but I haven't been able to find any Windows 7 drivers for the sound card yet. Antex site says that they do not support it, but I have seen that with other hardware manufacturers and some guru out there finds a way to make it work. Has anyone seen that yet?
Howdy,
I've recently run into an issue where when I first power up a workstation and attempt to begin recording, I receive this error message after a few seconds: "Recording has halted on ...... This error is: The specified audio capture device could not be found. (0xe035a02d)". After closing the FTR Reporter, launching the task manager, ending all associated FTR processes, and then once again launching FTR Reporter are they able to begin recording without any other issues.
I've already done a complete uninstall of the software suite and DMX8 software, however the issues is still there.
Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Oscar
Hey, I'm running Windows 8 and trying to reduce the FTR Gold player down to the compact size. The player blinks rapidly for a moment, as if trying to switch, but never makes the full transition.
Thanks for your help!!!
Hi,
I've been using FTR for many years now and never had a problem. I've just got some recordings to transcribe. They all load and appear to be playing okay, but no actual audio comes through. The only difference I can see between these tracks and the many others I have had are that these all start with [FTR0439] whereas others just have the court name and no square brackets. Any idea?
Thanks
I have version 5.6.2 of FTR player installed when trying to bringup a recording from our network storage it takesup to 15 minutes to bring up the recording. AV is not the prolem I have turne that off. what im I missing
Hi. I am looking for a way to cut the audio down to only the portions I would like to use. Any suggestions? Available software?
Hello,
The replication documentation for Warehouse references connecting to "various recorders" to manage recordings and log sheets. What qualifies as a "recorder", and are reporter deck 1s included?
Thanks much,
Walt N
Is there any way I can edit a decompressed wav file in Audacity or sound wave editor? They will not load and if i try to import them as raw data, all i get is static.
Need help with this intermittent problem:
FTR Reporter 5.6 was installed and 20% of the time works fine but on the other 80% the video shown by the player (while recording) is jumpy, choppy, like freezing for a moment any 2 or 3 seconds.
• Even if I close the player video window, the video records are still jumpy (audio is perfect)
• Not the FTR nor Windows show any significant error message
• Tried all the possibilities on multimedia tab (NTSC, PAL etc). Same results
• Tried to: disable some video features on Nvidia Panel, disabhttp://community.fortherecord.com/index.php?app=forums&module=post§ion=post&do=new_post&f=91le Windows Aero, visual themes, desktop composition, ...high DPI settings, tried compatibility modes etc (could not disable hardware acceleration)
• Tested cables and connections
• On 10 tries, just closing and opening the software, 8 will have choppy video problems, the other 2 works perfectly.
Is there any registry config to solve this? Some incompatibility with the Quadro 2000?
Windows 7 – 64 Bits (Brazilian)
HP Z210 – Xeon E31240 3.30 GHz 8 Gb RAM (all drivers installed and updated)
NVidia Quadro 2000 - DirectX 11 - Driver NVidia 320.49
Pinnacle AV/DV (Which works fine on XP)
FTR Reporter 5.6.0.0 Build 118
FTR Player 5.6.2.0 Build 203
Anyone with similar problems?
Any hint is very welcome.
I have been reading that only 5.4 and above are compatible with Windows 7, but I have Windows 7 on my laptop and FTR Reporter 5.2 is loaded on there. It has thus far been recording fine for me.
Is this normal or should I not rely on it as being stable?
I would like to have it loaded on another laptop that has Windows 7 on it, but before I do I wanted to check here what exactly is meant by "compatible".
