Error Code: 0XE00EA042 | Reporter 2.2 | Roxio EZ Media Creator
When archiving to disc (FTR Brand). Will fillup and require another disc. Shows discs as full, yet no files are on the disc. Recently happening.

Infinity Foot Pedal not working with TheRecord Player
Hello Everyone,
I purchased an IN-USB-2 Infinity Foot Pedal which I have been told works with FTR Gold.
I have not been able to get it to work, I'm not sure how to test the foot pedal, or if there is a set up to run. All I find is the TheRecord Player properties, click on the Foot Control tab, change the settings, click Apply, Click OK and tried using the foot pedals but nothing happens.
Any help is appreciated.

dmx 8 driver for Windows 8 pro tablet
Antex showed up in two spots in device manager. Needed to install drivers for both, and that resolved the issue.

Can't install The Record Player 5.4.2 on Windows 8 laptop
I recently bought a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8 and have been trying to install the new version of The Record Player but keep getting those "fail to register" errors. I thought the new version was Windows 8 compatible - what am I doing wrong? I've looked through all the posts and have tried various fixes but they haven't helped. I need to download this for my business and have already lost a day in trying to get it downloaded. Please help!!

Reporter and Log Notes 5.5
I am an IT Tech currently in an upgrade project for local government. I am totally new to FTR. Reporter and Log Notes are not co-existing together so I decided to research your forums. I did see on version 5.4 Log Notes is not needed due to Reporter 5.4 includes Log notes. Also stated you will have to install recorder to have the ablilty to take notes on the recording machine. What is recorder???
Reporter 5.5 also installs TheRecord Manager and TheRecord Player. Is "recorder" one of those???
Please excuse my not knowing the FTR products

Compatible foot pedal?
I have a Vpedal USB Transcription Foot Pedal--3 function that I have been using with Express Scribe--will this work with FTR? I can get the audio loaded, but the foot pedal does nothing to control it. Thanks.

The Court Recording software, For The Record, is not working with all the Lenovo ThinkCentre M92p desktop computers running on default Lenovo image of Windows 7 Professional 64bit, Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit, and Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit.
The software operates in conjunction with hardware plugged into the USB port (2.0 or 3.0).
Windows detects the USB port and the hardware when it’s plugged in. The drivers for the software also installs properly and displays as it should in device manager.
However, when we launch the software, it does not detect the hardware despite device manager seeing it. After opening the options > recording menu in the software, the mixer will kick in and function as it should and continue to until the computer restarts.
We have tested the software on other computers from different manufacturers running the same operating system and we have not encountered the issue. The issue only comes up with the ThinkCentre M92p computers.

We had a former staff member that was making a custom add-on program for FTR 5 in VB.NET, which references "Interop.FTRRecorderInterfacesLib.dll".
Is there's any documentation available for the API? I couldn't find anything.

FTR player and SMPTE code
Hi Guys
I think i already know the answer but thought I would ask here any way. I have an MP3 file that i need to play with a foot pedal and I need to be able to view its SMPTE time code in the format of HH:MM:SS:FF where FF is 25 frames per second. I don't suppose FTR supports that? If not can you recommend a product that might. I know this doesn't apply to FTR audio but we use FTR player for almost all our audio playback.

Unable to run in Windows 7 Ultimate
Hi, I need to convert the .wav files from court reporter to a standard format, (something playable in mac or linux). I have borrowed a computer running Windows 7 Ultimate, and attempted to install Player562Setup.exe but it complains it needs .NET 4.0 Client Web.
I believe this Windows 7 Ultimate includes .NET 3.5.
Which FTR software version will work with this computer as is?

Error installing FTR Reporter 5.5
Get Error 1920.Service FTR Recorder Cleaner (FTR Recorder Cleaner) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. when trying to install FTR Reporter 5.5 on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 32bit. Tried all steps/recommendations I could find in the FTR Community User Forums and Q & A.
I have attached a screen shot of the error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Error message 5.6.2
I am running Windows 7, and have downloaded FTR 5.6.2. When I load the audio and use the pedal or click on the forward button, I get an error message saying, "The second file for this recording has not been found (0xe097d00e)." The audio files have the .mp3 extension. Can you help, please?

I downloaded TheRecord Player and have Windows 8. I've actually uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and keep getting "An error has occurred launching the open dialog. (0X80040154)." Can anybody help?

Reporter 5.6.1 hanging
Been struggling with a system that has been hanging at beginning of recordings or stopping on its own after a few seconds. Sometimes it will run for about 4 minutes, then stops.
We recently upgraded this system to 5.6.1.0, build 200, in the hope that this would solve our issues.
Details:
Windows 7 enterprise, 64 bit, service pack 1
Using a Tascam US-600 on a Dell Optiplex 790.
Presently set up for no archiving, as we had a theory that a slow network was causing FTR's lockup.
Need some ideas. Please help! Thanks.

Error code 0x80040256
I just installed FTR for Windows 8 and cannot load the recording for playback. I know the CD is compatible with FTR as I just finished transcribing it on my computer that had Vista on it. How do I get it to play on Windows 8? I have already tried removing FTR and reinstalling it and keep getting the same error. I would appreciate some help as soon as possible as I have a big job on the way and need to get this up and running.
