Our court system recently purchased FTR 5.6.2 so we could install it on a windows 7 pc. After installing and configuring, it seemed to work fine in my test. However when the court used it they claimed it was cutting out after awhile. Since I am from IT and can not be present during court I have to go by their complaints, I can't be there to witness it and get a better idea of what is happening. Our court runs reporter (recording) and player (to verify proper recording) simultaneously. When this problem was identified I ask if they would time stamp when ever this occured so I could maybe identify something in the event log that possibly be causing this. Nothing really stood out. We even removed our virus protection for a few days to see if it was causing the issue. This did not have any effect. I asked the lady who runs FTR during court to go back listen to the previous recordings at the time stamps she said it was cutting out to see if the recording was actually cutting out. When she went back to listen to it, she claimed the recording was good (no cutting out of the audio). So to me it appears that the player is temporarily freezing up when reporter is recording and player is running simultaneously. Has anyone seen this before? Any tips would help.
The PC is plenty robust running 64bit Windows 7 Sp1 with 8GB of memory
