problem playing back

Hello, we are using TheRecord player 5.6.10 build 200. On multiple systems we cannot open up audio TRM files. The systems are running Windows 7, some 64bit other are 32 bit. Headphones are plugged in. I was told the audio TRM files were listenable before we upgraded to Windows 7. The previous systems were Windows XP. We have no plans of rolling back the OS. I notice on the CD's there's also a PME.exe along with a couple other files.

I've tried a couple ways to open the files.

1- click on Open, in the player, click on the E; drive (which is the cd/dvd drive)

I see a folder, but non of the audio TRM files appear.

2-I click on Open, and then go to other. I then see the files but when I go to open them I get an error message  "An unknown error has occured. (E0D1a027)" The details show

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xE097D001): No content files could be created from the specified files.

3- I've also tried dragging the files onto the player itself but get a error message "Could not load the recording for playback. No content files could be created from the specific files. (0xe097d001)

Can anyone please help? I know audio works fine because we can hear music mp3's and youtube audio.
