Hi everyone,
I'm running Windows 8 with an Infinity foot petal. (IN-USB2 model) Every time FTR is started with the foot pedal connected, it closes immediately and gives the message "TheRecord Player application has stopped working. Windows will close the program," and of course if I connect the foot pedal after it's open, the pedal will not work.
I have tried
...installing codecs as some users suggested (CCCP and Shark007's)
...completely removing all components, registry, and stray folders and reinstalling (several times)
...installing an old version that was said to work (5.4.2)
I haven't had any luck at all, and I'm out of ideas. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

D'oh! Well, at some point along the line of trying to fix this, I changed FTR to be in compatibility mode for Windows XP. Now that I've changed that back (also finished installing all updates that my computer needed, even though they didn't appear to be related) and it works now! Thanks, all, anyway!
