Link between Log Notes 5.x and TheRecord Player 5.6

I have a computer that is having an issue with opening TheRecord Player from a link in the log note. The PC is a win 7 PC running version 5.6 and Player 5.6.1 There is a search path set to the directory where the log note and audio both reside. If I open the log note and click on a link to open the player, the player just says "loading" at the bottom and eventually crashes. If i open the Log Note and Audio seperately they both link.

I have upgraded the player to 5.6.2 and also re-set up the Search Path, and neither fixed the issue.

Any ideas?
