It first worked and now it's not?? Please help.

I run Vista for one thing. I have read Vista isn't the best for this player.

I downloaded 5.6 first. It worked the first time wonderfully. Loved it so much more than Express Scribe. But I can't get a .wav or .mp3 to work.

I uninstalled it and reloaded 5.4.  Even used the registry scan program the admin suggested to another member. 

But I keep getting an error message every time I try and use Record Player!

I load a mp3 file, hit play and nothing. So I stop the play and hit forward and get error (0x80004005).

What is happening? I have a hard time hearing correctly with Express Scribe. The quality is so much better with Record Player, but only if it works!
