FTR did not start recording

We're in the process of upgrading all of our recording PCs to Windows 7 and FTR 5.6.

 

Last week we had an incident where the operator pressed the record button but recording did not start. The record button was showing red and the clock was showing a static time. The player did not automatically pop up as it usually does. When the record button was pressed again the user was prompted with the ‘Do you want to stop recording’ message. They tried toggling this button a number of times but recording did not start. In the end, the computer had to be rebooted to get things working again.

 

Has anyone experience this same problem or know of a fix if this is a known issue?
